Stephan Hegyi (born July 25,  1998 ) is an Austrian judoka .

career

Hegyi's supporters at the Sport Club Hakoah Vienna included three former top Judoka: Peter Seisenbacher , Axel Eggenfellner and Filip Sarafov.

In the cadet, junior and U23 area, Hegyi was Austrian champion eleven times, and in 2016 he won gold in the heavyweight division for the first time in the adult area at the Austrian championships.

On an international level, he  won bronze at the Cadet World Championships in Sarajevo in 2015 , silver at the 2017 Junior World Championships and was second in the same year in the Grand Prix in Zagreb . At the European Championships in 2018 , Hegyi won the bronze medal. A year later he also won bronze at the 2019 European Championships, which were held as part of the European Games in Minsk.
