from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stephan I (Latin Steffan ; † April 4 ( 1156 ?)) Was the second known bishop of Lebus today .

Life

Stephan was first mentioned on June 22, 1149, when he was present at the dedication of the St. Vincent monastery church in Breslau . (Furthermore, a Count Jaxa ( comes Jaxa ) was named among those present, who is probably identical with Jaxo von Köpenick ).

In the necrology of the Premonstratensian monastery in Breslau , Stephan was commemorated on April 4th, but the year of death is not given. The yearbook of the cathedral chapter in Krakow mentioned a bishop Stephan for the year of death 1156, but without specifying the diocese.

No other historical information is known about him.
