Stephan Kolling (* 1972 ) is a German lawyer. Since 2014 he has been State Secretary in the Saarland Ministry for Social Affairs, Health, Women and Family .

Career

Kolling grew up in Illingen (Saar) and graduated from the Illtal-Gymnasium Illingen in 1991 . Following this, he completed his community service at the St. Hedwig specialist clinic in Illingen. After his community service he studied law at the University of Saarland and business administration at the Fernuni Hagen and completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court in Saarbrücken between 1999 and 2001 . After successfully completing his studies, he worked from 2001 to 2002 at HDI-Gerling Industrie Versicherung AG, Cologne branch. From 2002 to 2004 he worked as a cabinet advisor for Council of Ministers, Federal Council and European affairs in the Ministry for Women, Labor, Health and Social Affairs. From 2004 to 2009 he was press spokesman and head of the ministerial office of the Saarland minister for justice, health and social affairs, Josef Hecken . In addition to managing the ministerial office, from 2006 to 2009 he was also deputy head of the “Health and Consumer Protection” department in the Saarland Ministry of Justice, Health and Social Affairs. After the cabinet reshuffle in 2009, Kolling was deputy head of the “Social” department until the end of 2010 under the then Minister of Social Affairs Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer . Until his appointment as State Secretary in November 2014, Stephan Kolling headed the State Office for Social Affairs in Saarbrücken. Kolling is a health and social politician. He also set up a central clearing center for unaccompanied minor refugees at the Schaumberger Hof in Tholey, which is unique in Germany.

Stephan Kolling is a member of the CDU in the St. Wendel city ​​association and currently holds the position of deputy chairman.

Kolling is married and has one daughter.
