Stephan Lacant

Stephan Lacant (born September 9, 1972 in Essen ) is a German film director and screenwriter .

Life

After graduating from high school, Lacant studied theater, film and television in Bochum and Cologne before moving to the USA and studying directing at the Stella Adler Acting Conservatory and the Film Academy during his stay in New York for several years . In 1996 he wrote and filmed his first screenplay for the short film Little India there . In the years that followed, he made several short and documentary films that were shown at various international festivals. In 2013 he made his German-language feature film debut with Freier Fall .
