Stephan Lindeck

Stephan (August) Lindeck (born October 16, 1864 in Alsfeld , Grand Duchy of Hesse , † October 21, 1911 in Berlin ) was a German physicist .

He was allowed to accompany his father of the same name († 1895), the secret finance councilor and director of Darmstadt's main state treasury , on his numerous trips to his home country. The grandfather was the Mainz building officer Heinrich Lindeck.

From 1882 he studied at the Technical University in Darmstadt and then switched to the university, where August Kundt in particular influenced him.

He became head of the low-voltage laboratory of the Physikalisch-Technische Reichsanstalt . Around 1889 he worked with Karl Feussner . In Charlottenburg he lived at Goethestrasse 77.

From 1895 to 1911 he was editor and member of the editorial team of the Zeitschrift für Instrumentenkunde . His successor was Friedrich Göpel (1864-1941).
