Stephan Rind

Stephan Rind (born July 2, 1967 in Cologne ) is a German entrepreneur, manager and business angel.

After an apprenticeship at Cologne Bank , he moved to Prudential Securities in New York in 1988 in the investment banking division . After positions at Hornblower Fischer AG and the investment company IQ Capital, he was Chief Investment Officer of the Swiss Fortmann Cline Group from 2000 to 2003 .

In 2003 he and a group of investors took over the listed Küppersbusch AG , which was renamed Colonia Real Estate AG in the same year . Under his leadership as CEO , Colonia Real Estate AG developed into the third largest listed housing group in Germany. He left the company in early 2011 when TAG Immobilien took over the company. Stephan Rind was chairman of the board of directors of OTI Greentech AG until 2015 and is now chairman of the company's supervisory board. Since 2013 he has been chairman of his holding company Mercury Capital AG in Switzerland .

Stephan Rind was named “Swiss CEO of the Year - Green Engineering” at the 2013 Business Excellence Award from Acquisition International Magazine.

He is co-initiator of the Bundesverband Alternative Investments eV (BAI) and co-founder of the Institute of the German Real Estate Industry (IDDIW) and was a member of the executive committee for several years.

Stephan Rind is a member of the board of trustees of the Jeannette-Gräfin-Beissel-von-Gymnich-Foundation and honorary curator of the Hannah-Foundation against sexual violence.
