Stephen Ayodele Makinwa (born July 26, 1983 in Lagos ) is a Nigerian football player . He plays in the position of the center forward .

Career

Makinwa has continuously played its way up from Italian Serie C to Serie A since 2000 and was already under contract with a large number of different clubs. With the US Palermo he qualified for the first time in the club's history for the group stage of the UEFA Cup in 2005/06 . For the 2006/07 season , Makinwa moved to league rivals Lazio Rome , who loaned him to Reggina Calcio in January 2008 . In the summer of 2008, the Nigerian returned to Lazio. In the second half of this season he was loaned to AC Chievo Verona . In the 2010/11 season he played for AE Larisa in the Greek Super League .

National team

At the African Cup of Nations in Egypt in 2006 , Makinwa was part of the Nigerian national team and also played a few times. He made his debut in November 2004 against the South African national soccer team .
