Stephen J. Dubner
Stephen J. Dubner (born August 26, 1963 in Schenectady , New York ) is an American author and business journalist .
Life
As the eighth child of a journalist, Dubner wrote as a child. After leaving Appalachian State University without a degree, he decided to form a rock band. He later gave up his band activities in order to be able to work as a writer. Between 1990 and 1994 Dubner worked as an editor and journalist for New York Magazine . For the next five years he wrote for The New York Times and also edited them. Dubner also wrote for other newspapers, such as The Washington Post .
He currently works for ABC News and collaborates with Steven Levitt on a monthly column called Freakonomics for The New York Times . Furthermore, Dubner is currently working on book projects. One of them should be devoted to Freakonomics, the other book should be about Jewish ethics.
