Stephen Vincent Susco (born October 24, 1972 in Philadelphia ) is an American screenwriter , film producer and director .

Life

Stephen Susco was born in Philadelphia and raised in Bucks County . He graduated from the University of Notre Dame and the University of Southern California .

He has been working as a screenwriter since 1996. In 2004, his screenplay for the horror film The Curse - The Grudge was filmed, which was based on the Japanese film Juon: The Curse by Takashi Shimizu . Susco also wrote the script for the sequel The Curse - The Grudge 2 . Susco provided the story for the horror film Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013).

In 2018 he made his directorial debut with the Blumhouse production Unfriended: Dark Web , for which he also wrote the script.

Susco has been married to writer Bridget Foley since 2005. The couple have two children and after a few years in Los Angeles and Pennsylvania have lived in Bellevue , Washington since 2014 .
