Stephen Wray

Stephen Wray (also Steve Wray ; born May 20, 1962 in Nassau , † December 22, 2009 south of the island of New Providence ) was a Bahamian high jumper .

In 1982 he won silver at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Havana and at the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane with his personal best of 2.31 m. At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 and at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he was eliminated from the qualification.

Wray was an employee at the Department of Tourism. On December 22nd, he went on a boat trip with his friend Gregory Johnson to fish in the sea . After an emergency call , the overturned boat was found without a trace of its occupants.
