Stereo Total is a Berlin music group that plays punk synth pop . Her trademark is the emphatically strong French accent of the singer Françoise Cactus .
The group was founded in 1993 by Brezel Göring (* 1967 as Hartmut Richard Friedrich Ziegler ; formerly Sigmund Freud Experience ) and Françoise Cactus (actually Françoise van Hove; previously Lolitas ). Angie Reed (bass) and San Reimo (organ) also played from 1998 to 2001 . In the documentary We will always go on (2012) by George Lindt and Ingolf Rech , u. a. the story of the band retold and supplemented by live recordings and private recordings. The songs are sung in German, French and English.
