Sterope (daughter of Porthaon)
Sterope ( Greek Στερόπη ) is in Greek mythology a daughter of Porthaon , the king of Pleuron and Kalydon , and Euryte . Her brothers were Oineus , Agrios , Alkathoos , Melas and Leukopeus .
Acheloos , the personification of the eponymous Acheloos river in Greece, made her the mother of the Sirens , but no individual names are known from this connection.
