Steve Bache (born November 3, 1990 in Pirna, Saxony ) is a German film director , screenwriter and illustrator .

Life and work

Steve Bache was born in Pirna, Saxony, in November 1990. After first working as a comic artist , he soon shifted his passion for storytelling to film directing . After graduating from high school, he completed training as a design assistant for media and communication. He then worked as an assistant director for various film productions in Berlin.

Since 2014 he has been studying directing / scenic film at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy .

His animated documentary film Eye for an Eye , which he produced in collaboration with Mahyar Goudarzi and Louise Peter at the Film Academy, was an interdisciplinary work in Jochen Kuhn's seminar . In 2016, the film was awarded the Short Tiger and was nominated for the Student Oscar in the Foreign Animation category. The short film received the rating "Particularly Valuable" by the German Film and Media Rating .
