Steve Bennett
Stephen "Steve" Graham Bennett (born January 17, 1961 in Farnborough , Kent County , England until 1965 ) is a former English football referee .
Bennett is a teacher by profession and was a referee from 1984. From 1995 he whistled in the English Football League and from 1999 in the Premier League . From 2001, Bennett was a FIFA referee. In 2010 he resigned.
particularities
In 2002 Bennett whistled the alternative final between Bhutan and Montserrat , which occupied the last two places 202 and 203 in the FIFA world rankings, parallel to the final of the 2002 World Cup between Brazil and Germany. The game and its preparations were captured in the documentary The Other Final .
