Steve Easterbrook

Stephen James Easterbrook (born August 6, 1967 in Watford ) is a British manager . He was CEO and Corporate President of McDonald's Corporation from March 2015 to November 2019 .

Life

Steve Easterbrook grew up in Watford and attended the Watford Grammar School for Boys . After his graduation, he studied natural sciences at St Chad's College of Durham University . From 1993 to 2011, Easterbrook was the manager of a McDonald's branch in London . In 2011, Easterbrook left McDonald's and became CEO of the British company PizzaExpress and later the fast-food chain Wagamama before returning to McDonald's after two years.

From 2013 to 2015, Steve Easterbrook was McDonald's President for the United Kingdom and Northern Europe. On March 1, 2015, he finally became CEO and President of McDonald's. He succeeded Don Thompson , who had resigned from office. At the beginning of November 2019, Easterbrook was fired due to an internal amicable love affair. Chris Kempczinski , who has been responsible for the US business with around 14,000 branches since 2017, was appointed as his successor .

Steve Easterbrook is divorced with three children and lives near Chicago , Illinois and is a supporter of Watford FC .
