Steven R. Monroe
Steven R. Monroe (born September 15, 1964 ) is an American film director and producer.
Life
Monroe began his career in the film business as a camera assistant in the mid-1980s. In 1999 he made his first appearance as a film director, since 2005 he has mainly worked as a director. He mainly directed low budget productions in the horror and thriller sector, and since 2016 he has primarily been making romantic TV films. Occasionally he is active as a screenwriter.
Monroe became known to a larger audience in 2010 with the staging of the rape-and-revenge film I Spit on Your Grave , a remake of the 1978 I spit on your grave . In 2013 he also shot the sequel I Spit on Your Grave 2 . However , he was no longer involved in I Spit on Your Grave 3 . A few movies and more than a dozen television films followed. His work as a director includes more than 40 productions.
