occupation

Ice Twister is an American - Canadian disaster film from 2009 .

action

A scientific team consisting of Joanne, Damon, Gary and Phil tries to create artificial rain with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles . After an initial test, they rate the experiment as a success, but soon an ice tornado develops, the Ice Twister, which kills people with sharp splinters of ice.

When Joanna and Phil follow the storm to discover the reason for this phenomenon, they meet the former scientist Charlie Price, who also became aware of the ice storm. In view of the damage caused by the storm, Joanna asks her supervisor Frank to stop the experiment, but Frank insists on continuing.

Then Joanna, Phil and Charile drive back to the place of the experiment. A tornado arises there, killing Phil while the rest of the group escape. At the same time, a tornado is raging in the nearby town and the students Eric and Ashley can barely save themselves, while many other people are killed.

After an airplane was also destroyed by the storm, Frank gives the order to deactivate the experiment, but it quickly becomes clear that this is no longer possible because the storm is completely out of control. As a result, Eric and Ashley send out warnings to the population, as calculations showed that the storm would continue to more densely populated areas. Meanwhile, Charlie, Joanna and Damon make their way to a university, where Damon is killed by a huge hailstone . Charlie and Joanna manage to shoot a hole in the ozone layer with the help of a satellite , which eventually stops the storm.
