Steven Thicot (born February 14, 1987 in Montreuil ) is a French football player . Thicot was part of the team that won the U-17 European Championship title in 2004 . He has been under contract with FK Kauno Žalgiris since the beginning of 2020 .

Career

Thicot signed his first professional contract with FC Nantes in the 2005/06 season , but could never prevail in the first team. In 2006 he was loaned to CS Sedan and played there a total of three times in Ligue 1 . In 2008 he moved to Scotland to Hibernian Edinburgh , where he made his debut on matchday 1 of the 2008/09 season in the 1-0 defeat by FC Kilmarnock . In the 33rd minute he had to be replaced due to a thigh problem.

From the summer of 2011 Thicot was without a club for a year before the Portuguese second division team Naval 1º de Maio signed him. In his new club he became a regular, but had to relegate at the end of the season . He then moved to Dinamo Bucharest in Romania in the summer of 2013 . From summer 2014 he was without a club for half a year before Belenenses Lisbon signed him . There he was initially a regular, but was no longer considered in the last season games. From summer 2015 he was again looking for a club for six months before CD Tondela signed him. In the summer of 2016, his contract was not renewed. From the beginning of 2017 until the summer break, he was hired by AE Larisa in the Greek Super League . After being without a club for almost five months, he has been playing in the Malaysia Premier League for the first division club Melaka United since December 7, 2017 .
