Still Crazy After All These Years is a music album by Paul Simon .
history
Paul Simon recorded this album in 1975 and five years after the duo Simon & Garfunkel broke up , it showed that he was still one of the outstanding songwriters in the American music business. For the song My Little Town , Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel stood together again in the studio for the first time since separating in 1970.
The first single Gone at Last was only granted average success. However, after the album had reached first place in the US album charts, 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover was able to reach first place in the single charts in 1976 as a second single . The song was sung in German by Ulla Meinecke with the title 50 Tips to Leave .
At the 1976 Grammy Awards , Paul Simon received a Grammy for best album and was named singer of the year. Five years after Bridge over Troubled Water , Paul Simon was again the big Grammy Award winner. He received a third Grammy Award for best album of the year in 1987 for Graceland . At the award ceremony in 1976 he thanked Stevie Wonder , who had not released an album that year and therefore did not compete with Paul Simon. Wonder had won best album awards for the past two years and won again for Songs in the Key of Life a year later .
