The Voices of the Mountains are a German music formation from the field of folk music and hits .
The group was founded in the summer of 2014 by five singers who were previously members of the Regensburger Domspatzen and the Tölzer Knabenchor , the tenors Benjamin Grund , Matthias Müller and Thomas A. Gruber, the bass Stefan Hofmeister and the baritone Daniel Hinterberger.
Her debut album When the Sun Awakens in the Mountains was released in March 2016 .
In May 2016 Matthias Müller and Stefan Hofmeister left the group for family reasons and were replaced by tenor Stephan Schlögl and bass Simon Käsbauer , also former members of the Regensburger Domspatzen and the Tölzer Knabenchor.
