Stephan Schlögl (born June 21, 1993 in Oberviechtach ) is a German tenor and composer in the classical and popular music genre.

Life

Stephan Schlögl was born in Oberviechtach. From 2004 to 2012 he attended the music high school of the Regensburger Domspatzen and received piano and trumpet lessons there in addition to his vocal training. In the course of worldwide concert tours with the cathedral choir, Stephan Schlögl also appeared as a vocal soloist.

In 2014 Stephan Schlögl joined the Renner Ensemble Regensburg , with which he received the 3rd prize in May 2015 at the International Male Voice Choral Festival in Cornwall, England. Stephan Schlögl took part in a total of three CD productions for the ensemble. The CD War No More was awarded the Opus Klassik in 2018 .

In 2015 Stephan Schlögl founded the a cappella group Free Vocals together with a friend. It was here that he began to compose his own songs for the first time. His compositions "Am Abend" and "Hör mein Lied" were immortalized on the CD Free Vocals .

In 2016, Stephan Schlögl decided to go into music professionally and after successfully completing his apprenticeship as a Euro merchant, he began studying singing at the University of Catholic Church Music and Music Education in Regensburg . At the same time, he has been studying school music for high school (double subject) at the University of Regensburg since October 2017 .

In 2016 Stephan Schlögl joined the group Voices of the Mountains and thus found his way into the professional music business. As a result, his work covers not only classical music and pop, but also the genre of folk music and popular hits. In addition to numerous concerts in German-speaking Europe, the voices of the mountains are also regularly featured in German television programs such as Immer wieder sonntags , Schlagerspaß with Andy Borg, the evening show (Bayerischer Rundfunk) and much more. to see. Since 2016 Stephan Schlögl has released seven albums with the voices of the mountains, four of which were listed in the German album charts for several weeks .
