Stockem (Niederkassel)

Stockem is an eastern district of Niederkassel in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is located on the L 269 east of the Uckendorf district . Around 35 people live here in three courtyards. The Braschoshof, also known as the Drolshagener Hof, is well worth seeing.

history

Stockem was probably first mentioned in 1003. The terms Stockem and Stockheim appear. In 1555 the Honschaft Stockem belonged to the parish of Niederkassel in the Bergisches Amt Löwenburg .

The municipality of Stockem belonged to the mayor's office of Niederkassel. It had 182 hectares of which 172 hectares were arable. Stockem was the only place in the commune.

In 1885, the municipality of Stockem had six households and seventy inhabitants (36 men and 34 women). All residents were Catholic and belonged to the parish of Niederkassel .

On August 1, 1969, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the Niederkassel municipality on the basis of Section 8 of the Bonn Act .
