The Stollenwörthweiher is a fishing and swimming lake in the Niederfeld district, Neckarau district , in the south-west of Mannheim . It was created as a quarry pond through gravel mining in the 20th century. There are two public swimming pools on the lake, the Heinz-Hunsinger summer pool (Stollenwörthweiher I) on the south bank and the summer pool at the Stollenwörthweiher (Stollenwörthweiher II) on the west bank. Both are run by associations.
Water quality
The water quality is very good, which earned the lake the rating well suited for swimming up to 2010 , and from 2010 the rating excellent quality .
