Stone The Crow
For the British band of almost the same name, see Stone the Crows .
Stone The Crow is a rock band from Schwäbisch Hall . In 1998 she won the Viva Clip Attack Award. After the first two albums, which were notable successes, but not yet able to help Stone The Crow achieve its final breakthrough, there was a change in the line-up in 2001. Drummer Kai Ortmann wanted to go musically different ways than the other members and so Armin Dürl joined the team. With the departure of Sebastian Hillnhütter (at least as far as touring is concerned) Peter Schmitt also joined, who was to become a permanent member of the band a short time later.
While Daylight came more from the rock / pop area with electronic samples, some songs from Year Of The Crow (2001) and Reduce To The Max (2002) were oriented towards Nu Metal . In 2007, after a five-year break, the new album Fitting The Pieces was released .
The music shows influences from Depeche Mode , whose People Are People the band released as an officially authorized cover version, as well as from Alice in Chains and Nine Inch Nails . In 2007 Stone The Crow opened for Aerosmith and in 2009 for Sevendust .
