Storyful is an Irish editorial service provider based in Dublin specializing in social media news . Storyful filters, analyzes and verifies posts, photos and videos from social media. Customers include ABC News , Bloomberg , Reuters and the New York Times . Founder Mark Little calls Storyful the premier social media news agency .

Company history

Storyful started its business on April 12, 2010. In December 2013, the news corporation bought billionaire Rupert Murdoch Storyful for $ 25 million. The company's managing director is Rahul Chopra, who is also responsible for the video division at News Corporation. Founder Mark Little continued to work as Director of Innovation at Storyful after the sale, but left the company in 2015. Storyful has offices in Dublin, New York, Los Angeles, London and Sydney.

Cooperations

Storyful has entered into partnerships with the services of Youtube and Facebook . In April 2014, Facebook introduced its FB Newswire service . Together with Storyful, Facebook wants to offer news-relevant content from the social network.

Since June 18, 2015, Storyful has also verified videos on Youtube Newswire that eyewitnesses recorded during protests or other relevant events.
