The Strada Statale 44 del Passo di Giovo (SS 44) is an Italian State Street, 1928 between the South Tyrol cities Meran and Sterzing has been set. It goes back to the Strada nazionale 26 established in 1923. Its length is 58 kilometers. Because of its course over the Jaufenpass it was given the title del Passo di Giovo .

In German the street is called the Jaufenpassstraße . After it was taken over by the South Tyrolean provincial administration in the 1990s, the maintenance measures were intensified. In 2018, for example, a new avalanche gallery was built above St. Leonhard to secure a section particularly endangered by snow avalanches .
