Onesie
Rompers (short rompers ) are small one-piece suits for babies . This baby clothing item with feet is used in particular in the first year of an infant's life .
They weren't introduced to the US until the late 1950s. In previous centuries, babies were dressed only in a shirt and otherwise in Wraps wrapped, thereby partially very tightly wrapped . In contrast to the wrap-around version, the rompers allow the child to move freely, in particular to kick.
Since the 1930s it has been fashionable to dress girls in pink and boys in light blue.
The rompers are mostly made of jersey , mostly made of cotton , terry cloth or plush ; they are available with sleeves or sleeveless. In addition to a buttoned opening in the shoulder area, many models now have an additional buttonable opening in the crotch to make changing diapers easier.
