Strathmill is a Whiskey - Distillery in Keith , Moray , Scotland .

history

The Strathmill distillery was built in 1891 on the property of a flour mill built in 1823. At that time the still was called Glenisla-Glenlivet. It only got its current name in 1895 when the company W. and A. Gilbey bought it. Today the still is owned by Diageo .

For many years Strathmill has been the key ingredient in the Dunhill / Old Master Blends. It wasn't until 1993 that it sold its own single malt whiskey .
