The Stratton Hills are a series of rounded hills about 3 miles long in East Antarctica, Victoria Land . They form the south face of the Ferrar Glacier between the Overflow Glacier and the area around Bettle Peak .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them at the suggestion of the New Zealand geologist Robert Hamish Findlay, who worked in the area between 1977 and 1981 as part of the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program . Namesake is the New Zealand carpenter Winthrop Scott Stratton (1848–1902), who donated most of an inherited fortune to charity.
