The Bettle Peak is a 1,490 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises west of the Bowers-Piedmont Glacier and 10 km north of the Granite Knolls .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him after the American meteorologist James F. Bettle (1936-2013), scientific director of the United States Antarctic Research Program at McMurdo Station in 1962.
