The Bowers Piedmont Glacier is a foreland glacier on the Scott Coast in East Antarctic Victoria Land . With an expansion of around 64 square kilometers, the area occupies south of the New Harbor and flows together with the Blue Glacier on its south side .
It was discovered by participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901–1904) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott , but was only named after Henry Bowers (1983–1912) after Scott's Terra Nova Expedition (1910–1913) , who died on this expedition on the march back from the South Pole to the base camp together with Scott and three other companions.
