The Stray Islands (in Chile Islotes Labbé ) are a group of scattered ( English stray ) islands off the Graham coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . They are 3 km west of Petermann Island in the Wilhelm Archipelago .

The Falklands Island Dependencies Survey mapped them using aerial photographs taken by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. Created between 1956 and 1957 and in 1958 during a helicopter flight from HMS Protector . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee made the descriptive naming in 1959. The namesake of the name valid in Chile is Custodio Labbé Lippi, first officer of the Angamos transporter on the Chilean expedition that gave the name in 1947.
