Street Mark is a German rock - band , which in 1968 Dusseldorf was established and best known for her song Lovers is from the year 1979, which made it to the charts.

history

Dorothea Raukes, keyboard, met the brothers Thomas and Bernd Schreiber, both guitarists. Raukes and Schreiber became the driving force behind Streetmark. Early in their careers, they played cover songs for the Beatles , John Mayall and Deep Purple . In 1969 they turned down their first record deal, the reasons are largely unknown.

Over the next five years, Streetmark developed its own style, influenced by groups like Procol Harum , Focus and Emerson, Lake and Palmer . With the release of the first album, Streetmark signs a contract with the Sky Records label from Hamburg. With the exception of the two core members Dorothea Raukes and Thomas Schreiber, the band members changed frequently.
