Knitted Socks Swagger is the debut album by comedy trio Y-Titty , which was released on August 23, 2013. It was able to place itself in the German-language charts.
Background information
On May 12, 2013 the trio announced the planning of an album. The songs and the album were produced by the German producer The Emu. On July 26, 2013, the release of a new single was announced on Facebook . This is called Shut your Maul and was released on August 9, 2013. Y-Titty set itself the goal of making it into the top 10 of the German single charts with this song . This was achieved, the song even rose to number five in the single charts. The album Stricksocken Swagger was released on August 23, 2013. The album contains Stestandime and The Last Summer, two titles that were previously released by download and that previously made it into the charts. The intro song of the album Wir sind da was also released on Youtube with a music video . On January 31, 2014, another single from the album was released with #Hashtag .
The chart entry on the 3rd place in the German album charts was celebrated with a video in the Harlem Shake style .

Swagger knitted socks can be assigned to pop music, but also contains several rap elements that come from hip-hop . The lyrics are by and large about typical problems and are mostly very ironic. Also extraordinary texts like The Last Summer , which is about the end of the world or Hipster 2.0. which is about the hipster subculture are present on the album. It should be noted that the lyrics of the song are based on the parody of Thrift Shop by Macklemore .
