Structural Change and Economic Dynamics (SCED, ISO 4 :... Struct Change Econ Dynam) is a scientific journal with peer review process, which from Elsevier is published. It was first published in 1990, initially with two issues a year, and since 1995 with four issues.

Thematically, the journal deals with structural change and dynamics in economic systems and the role of innovation, technology, institutions and individual behavioral patterns . Effects of infrastructure , economic integration and development, employment and income distribution, the connection between ecological and economic change as well as instability and crises can be taken into account. There are econometric and statistical , but also theoretical published posts. In a review of the tenth anniversary, the plural approach is emphasized.

The first editors were Faye Duchin , Georg Erber , Michael A. Landesmann , Shinishiro Nakamura and Alessandro Vercelli . Today (as of May 2019) this task is taken over by D'Maris Coffman , James K. Galbraith , Mario Pianta and Roberto Scazzieri .

The impact factor was according to publisher data in 2017 at 1,542. A study by the French economists Pierre-Phillippe Combes and Laurent Linnemer ranks the journal in the fourth-best category B with 219th place out of 600 economic journals. In the ranking of the Handelsblatt , the magazine in 2013 was the second lowest category C .
