Stuart Cooper
Stuart W. Cooper (* 1942 in Hoboken ) is an American filmmaker , actor and screenwriter .
Life
Cooper moved to the UK in the 1960s, where he also started his acting career. His best known role was that of Roscoe Levers in The Dirty Dozen (1967). But he also appeared in the films What comes after ...? (1967) and Subterfuge (1968).
In 1970 he made his directorial debut with the short film test of violence . The 1974 dramedy Little Malcolm and His Struggle Against the Eunuchs won a Silver Bear at the Berlinale . He was able to repeat this the following year with Overlord .
He then worked mostly for television. His work as a director includes around two dozen productions.
