Stuart Francis Lodge (born August 24, 1988 in Canmore ) is a Canadian biathlete .
Stuart Lodge is a communications student and lives in Canmore. He started skiing at the age of three and started biathlon at age 12 after reading an advertisement in a newspaper seeking biathletes for the Alberta Winter Games. He starts for Canmore Nordic / Banff Ski Runners and is trained by Matthias Ahrens . Lodge had its first international assignment in 2007 at the Junior World Championships in Martell . The best result was a 30th place in the sprint. At his home World Championships in Canmore in 2009 Lodge could not achieve good results, the best result was a 55th place in the sprint.
Lodge has competed in the men since 2007. In his first year he had his breakthrough at the Canadian Championships in Charlo , when he first won bronze in the individual, then silver in the sprint and finally the title in the pursuit race.
