Studentenfunk Regensburg (also called Studentenfunk) is an independent university radio from Regensburg . The broadcaster operates a studio at the University of Regensburg , from which numerous live shows and other content are broadcast via webstream every week. 4 to 6 hours of live material are produced every day. These include various shows about music, news, politics, sports and culture. The focus is also on the city of Regensburg and student life in the city.

In October 2019, the Bavarian State Center for New Media, together with EgoFM, awarded the “Mach-Dein-Radio-Star 2019” prize for the first time, in which the student radio was recognized as the best campus radio in Bavaria in 2019.

history

Originally, the student radio was the result of a radio seminar project that Bernhard Dotzler and journalist Edmund Soutschek held together at the University of Regensburg. At that time you could listen to various podcasts on the homepage and five hours a month were broadcast on Gong FM via VHF .

In 2008 the project decoupled from the chair and became its own association.

In 2015 it was broadcast live over the web for the first time. Initially, one hour five times a week. After this test phase, the student radio was able to broadcast in a 24/7 live stream from October 2015. When there was no live broadcast, a music playlist was playing.
