Sturkie is an unmemorial hamlet in the Waverly Division of Chambers County , Alabama , USA. It is located about 8.1  mi (13  km ) southwest of the town of LaFayette , whose ZIP code and phone code the settlement uses, at the junction of 16 Chambers County Road and US Highway 431 . To the west of it rises the Little Sandy Creek, which flows into the Martin Lake as Sandy Creek , east of the Swapper Creek, a tributary of the Osanippa. His Place Farm, the agricultural branch of a missionary and charitable institution, is located near Sturkie .

The place is not recorded as an independent unit in the censuses, but gives its name to the constituency Sturkie Voting District .
