Styrmansholmen

Styrmansholmen is an island belonging to Sweden in the Stockholm archipelago .

The island belongs to the municipality of Vaxholm and lies east of the tip of the Karlsudd peninsula , to which it is connected by a bridge. To the northeast is the island of Jungfruholmen . The shipping routes from the Baltic Sea to Stockholm run south of the island, and the Vaxholm - Mariefred and Vaxholm - Strömkajen routes to the east .

Styrmansholmen extends from north-west to south-east over about 300 meters, with a width of up to 130 meters. The island is built on with several buildings and partly forested. The Karlsudd brygga jetty is at the southeast end . There are also several private piers.

On October 1, 1895, the steamship Gefle sank after a collision off Styrmansholmen.
