Suderø is an uninhabited Danish island in Smålandsfarvandet ( German  Smålandsfahrwasser ) north of the island of Falster . The island belongs to the parish Vålse Sogn in the Harde Falsters Nørre Herred in the then Maribo Amt , from 1970 to the Nørre Alslev Kommune in the then Storstrøms Amt , which was merged with the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 in the Guldborgsund Municipality in the Sjælland region. The island is approx. 700 m long and 200 m wide at its widest point. There is a cormorant colony with around 200 animals on Suderø .
