Suehiro Tanemura

Suehiro Tanemura ( Japanese 種 村 季 弘 , Tanemura Suehiro ; born March 21, 1933 in Toshima ; † August 29, 2004 ) was a Japanese German scholar, literary critic and translator.

Tanemura studied German at the University of Tokyo . He became known for his in-depth studies of the fantastic and nonsense literature in Europe. In 1999 he was awarded the Izumi-Kyōka Literature Prize for Tanemura Suehiro no neo rabirintosu "Gensō no erosu" .
