suissetec (full official name German Swiss-Liechtenstein Building Technology Association , French Association suisse et liechtensteinoise de la technique du bâtiment , Italian Associazione svizzera e del Liechtenstein della tecnica della costruzione , Romansh Associaziun svizra e liechtensteinaisa da la tecnica da construcziun ) is an industry association for building technology in Switzerland and Liechtenstein .
The association with approximately 3,500 members representing organizations from the fields of plumbing / building envelope , heating , ventilation and air conditioning systems , gas and water - installation technology .
The association was created in 2003 through the merger of the Swiss Association of Master Plumbers and Installers (SSIV) , whose history dates back to 1891, with the Association of Swiss and Liechtenstein Heating and Ventilation Companies (VSHL / Clima Suisse) .

The main activity is the promotion of building technology professions and advocates more energy efficiency and sustainability in the building technology industry.
The association is politically independent and represents all stages of the value chain . The members are on the one hand executing companies, planners, manufacturers or suppliers in the building technology sector. Suissetec deals with the following topics:
- Construction technology
- Educational policy
- Environmental and energy policy
- Standards and guidelines in construction
- Economic policy
organization
The association has 26 sections. The member companies currently generate total sales of around CHF 5.9 billion. Suissetec is registered as an association in the commercial register and operates its own offices in Zurich , Colombier NE and Manno TI .
The association maintains two training centers in Lostorf and Colombier for basic and higher vocational training ; new courses such as energy advisor buildings are offered here.
