The Sulphide Pass (English for Sulphide Pass ) is a mountain saddle in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Royal Society Range , it is 6 km east of Mount Rucker on Rucker Ridge
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1980. It is named after a band of pyrite-containing slate found here , which gives off a classic sulfur odor when mechanically processed .
