Sulpicius I of Bourges
St. Sulpicius I of Bourges (also Sulpicius I. Bituricensis ) († around 591), nicknamed Severus (the Strict), was bishop of Bourges from 584 . His feast day is January 29th .
Sulpicius I was the successor of Bishop Remigius. In 584 he attended the Synod of Mâcon . After his death he was buried in the church of Saint-Julien in Bourges , later his remains were placed in the church of St. Ursinus von Bourges , of which only a portal remains today in Bourges.
