The Summerhayes Inlet is one of the Larsen Ice Shelf icy and 10 km wide bay at the Oskar-II. coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located southwest of Chapman Point and west of Standring Inlet on the north side of the Jason Peninsula .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the bay in 2012 after the marine biologist and oceanographer Colin Summerhayes, first head of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR).
