SunDog: Frozen Legacy is a computer game from FTL Games . It was developed from 1982 to 1984 mainly by Bruce Webster for the Apple II . An expanded version appeared in 1986 for the Atari ST .
The player leads Zed, a former slave . He inherited the small spaceship "Sundog" from an uncle . Without a clue about space travel , trade , the stock exchange, etc., he now has to fulfill his uncle's contract with a religious community and procure the material requested to build a new colony . This material also includes frozen colonists that are scattered across all planets and have yet to be found.
He has to generate the money for this himself by buying and selling goods on the different planets. Further tasks are the repair of the ship, the improvement of the equipment, the exploration of all accessible planetary systems and the fight against space pirates.
The game requires a color monitor and is only operated with the mouse .
