Sun Caiyun

Sun Caiyun ( Chinese  孫 彩雲  /  孙 彩云 , Pinyin Sūn Cǎiyún; born July 21, 1973 in Shenzhen ) is a former Chinese pole vaulter .

On May 18, 1992, she set the first official world record in Nanjing with 4.05 m, which she improved on May 18, 1995 in Taiyuan to 4.08 m.

In 1997 she was fourth at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Paris , in 1998 she won bronze at the Asian Games in Bangkok , and in 1999 she came 22nd at the World Indoor Championships in Maebashi .

She became a Chinese champion four times (1992, 1993, 1996, 1999).

In 1994 she was suspended for three months for a doping offense .
