The Sun Odyssey 349 is a series- produced sailing yacht from the French manufacturer Jeanneau , which was presented in 2013.
Construction and construction
The fuselage is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) and is hand -laid. The deck is manufactured using a vacuum infusion process with a balsa wood core. Marc Lombard is responsible for the design and construction. There are three keel versions : a shallow keel with a 1.49 meter draft, the standard version with a 1.98 meter draft and a swivel keel with a variable draft between 1.26 and 2.54 meters. The standard version of the Sun Odyssey 349 is equipped with a diesel tank with 130 liters, a water tank with 206 liters and a motor with 15 kW power.
In the cockpit there are two control stations (Twin wheel). The yacht has two freestanding rudder blades .
Facility
The standard version of the Sun Odyssey 349 has three cabins and a wet room . In the foredeck there is a double bed with a length of 2.01 meters and a shoulder width of 1.57 meters, the foot area tapered to 0.37 meters. The galley is arranged alongside to port . The two aft cabins of the same size are 2.01 meters long, 1.40 meters wide in the head area and tapered to 1.16 meters in the foot area. The saloon table can be folded, but not lowered. This means that the lounge bench seats cannot be used as a double berth. Amidships on the port side is the chart table, further aft is the wet room. The 2-cabin version has an additional shower and a larger locker on the port side .
Sails
The standard version of the yacht is equipped with fully battened mainsail equipped, a furling sail is optional. The mainsail is trimmed with a sheet which, instead of the traveler , is guided via a cockpit on the companionway to the winch in the cockpit. The furling genoa is 110% overlapping. The sails load rating is 4.2.
Classification according to German law
- The sailing yacht does not have to be registered as it is less than 15 m long.
- The sailing yacht is not subject to inland shipping registration because it does not displace 15 m³ .
