The Sun Store SA , based in Saint-Sulpice is a Swiss retail chain . It operates over 100 specialist health shops , including 83 pharmacies with an integrated drugstore and perfumery . The company employs over 1,700 people and achieved sales of around 400 million Swiss francs in 2009.

The company, founded in 1972 by Marcel Séverin, opened its first branch in Sion and later expanded throughout western Switzerland . Since 2004, Sun Store has also been active in German-speaking Switzerland with the gradual opening of 20 new locations . recently six branches have been added in Ticino .

Also in 2004, Sun Store entered into a strategic partnership with Migros and temporarily supplied the “Le Shop” online shop with perfumes , cosmetics and body care products .

In 2009, Sun Store SA was taken over by the Galenica Group and has since been managed by the Galenicare division - just like the Amavita pharmacy chain . Ramin Mohadjeri has been the CEO since then; the company's founder Marcel Séverin remains Chairman of the Board of Directors.
